My name is Alitalia, and for more than twenty years, I’ve dedicated myself to the field of education, with an emphasis on reading and writing. From the intimate setting of homeschooling to my 8-years of experience working in private schools, I’ve journeyed alongside many students, witnessing their challenges and triumphs in reading and writing.

I proudly hold an M.Ed. in Learning and Technology, reflecting my deep commitment to innovative and effective teaching. Taking my expertise a step further, I dedicated 5 years to training in the renowned Lindamood-Bell programs in reading and writing. Recognized globally for their impact, these programs specifically target and bolster cognitive processes to improve brain functions. They emphasize enhancing communication skills, furthering reading and writing competencies, boosting academic skills, and laying the groundwork for lifelong learning.

I’m thrilled to extend this tailored experience in reading and writing to students of all backgrounds. If ADHD, dyslexia, or mild autism forms part of your child’s journey, please know I’m here, equipped, and eager to support you.

My approach to teaching reading and writing? It’s personalized. I use methods tailored to your child’s unique learning style. Alongside this, I weave in multi-sensory techniques that resonate with your child’s culture. My goal is to make reading and writing enjoyable and ensure your child feels academically and emotionally nurtured.

Thank you for considering joining me on this educational journey. Together, we can achieve your child’s reading and writing goals.

My Philosophy

Personalized Learning

Because every student is unique, I focus on personalized learning. I learn each student’s strengths and weaknesses. Then, I adapt my teaching strategies to meet their needs.

Inclusion and Cultural Sensitivity

All students deserve respect. I strive to understand their culture and views. My classroom is a place where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Student-Led Approach

I let students lead their learning. They set their own goals and explore their own interests. By empowering them to lead the way, my students build academic skills and self-confidence.

Emotional and Social Well-Being

Success depends on emotional well-being. I make my classroom caring and supportive. This helps students feel valued.

Multi-Sensory Engagement

I use different ways to teach. This includes visuals, hands-on activities, and interactive software. It helps all students, especially those with learning challenges, such as ADHD, dyslexia, and mild autism, learn and remember better.

Proven Success

Research studying the Lindamoodbell Learning Process® showed significant gains in reading and comprehension skills and increased gray matter in children with dyslexia after an eight-week reading intervention.

Impact on Brain Development

Although dyslexia is often thought of as permanent, research findings indicate that 8 weeks of sensory-cognitive instruction leads to “substantial improvements in reading skills and changes in the “underlying wiring of the brain’s reading circuitry.”

one tree is planted for each tutoring session

Impact on Global Warming

Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and well-being, and create jobs for social impact.

We’re honored to have reforestation through One Tree Planted as an integral part of Learning Re-Engineered’s business model.

For each tutoring session, one tree will be planted.
